Rockfall Attenuators

Hybrid systems that deflect and dissipate rockfalls while reducing maintenance requirements.

Rockfall attenuators allow controlled movement of falling rock, directing debris safely to designated collection areas. Unlike rigid barriers, these systems dissipate energy while guiding material downslope, making them effective for large-scale or continuous rockfall environments. Installed with mesh, ropes, and anchors, attenuators reduce the risk of debris reaching critical assets. Their self-cleaning nature reduces maintenance, while providing long-term, reliable protection in steep, high-exposure areas.

Benefits:

  • Redirects falling material away from operations

  • Reduces maintenance compared to rigid barriers

  • Effective in continuous or high-volume rockfall zones
