Results

  • Achieved significant foundation strengthening within confined site constraints.

  • Reduced downtime for Talley’s operations through efficient planning and execution.

  • Provided a cost-effective, long-term improvement solution aligned with structural design criteria.

Project

Solution

  • Conducted precise core drilling to establish micropile locations and ensure accuracy.

  • Installed 75mm micropiles with 3m bonded depth, designed to withstand 47.3kN uplift.

  • Delivered complete design-build integration, linking structural design directly to construction methodology.

Project

Challenges

  • Tight access and low headroom limited equipment selection and manoeuvrability.

  • Requirement to maintain facility operations with minimal shutdown periods.

  • Need to balance cost-effectiveness with high engineering performance.

micropiles for ground improvement in confined space

Project

Overview

Geovert was engaged by Talley’s to design and construct a micropile foundation improvement solution for an existing facility. The works required advanced engineering to achieve effective ground engagement in a confined, low-headroom environment while minimising operational disruption. Acting as both designer and contractor, Geovert delivered a streamlined solution that strengthened the building foundations, maintained project efficiency, and aligned with the client’s operational requirements
