Fragile dump pocket wall prevented the use of traditional anchor testing methods

Project
Overview
At the Mesa-J iron ore mine in the Pilbara, reinforcement of the dump pocket wall was required to enable safe access for larger haul trucks with increased carrying capacity. Geovert was contracted to install and test T40 self-drilling anchors in challenging conditions with limited access. The works demanded a bespoke drilling solution and custom-designed testing equipment to achieve compliance and verification within the shutdown period.
