Positive client feedback on professionalism and execution
Project
Solution
Deployed a compact but powerful TJ38 micropile rig capable of working in confined spaces
Installed 20 micropiles to 15m depth using grout flush methods to penetrate dense gravels
Scheduled all works at night to maintain safe daytime retail operations
Maintained open communication with the client to manage scope and logistics
Project
Challenges
Extremely dense gravels caused refusal for screw piling techniques
Tight 1.5m corridor limited equipment size and manoeuvrability
Requirement to keep the mall operational during the day

Project
Overview
Seismic strengthening at Christchurch’s Barrington Mall required deep foundation works. Initial screw piling attempts failed in dense gravels, prompting Geovert’s engagement to deliver micropiles capable of penetrating the ground conditions. Works had to be undertaken in a narrow service corridor at night to avoid disruption to mall operations.
