Coordinated closely with the expressway delivery team to align construction methods and program interfaces.
Project
Challenges
Integration with the Takitimu North Link Stage 1 expressway programme under the NZ Upgrade Programme.
Constrained work area directly adjacent to a live arterial road with heavy traffic.
Urban setting demanded stringent environmental and community impact management.
Complex ground conditions required adaptable drilling and anchoring techniques.
Tight timelines with works forming a critical path item for the wider expressway delivery.

Project
Overview
As part of the Takitimu North Link Stage 1 Expressway, a major NZ Upgrade Program project, stabilisation works were required on 15th Avenue in Tauranga. To support this corridor, Geovert was engaged to construct a permanent soil nail retaining wall to stabilise the slope and protect adjacent properties while enabling safe progression of road works.
The project required working in a constrained urban setting, adjacent to an active arterial road, while aligning with the broader expressway program’s timelines and delivery milestones.
