Results

  • Achieved a durable and visually discreet stabilisation outcome with minimal disturbance to the property and surrounding environment.

  • Enhanced slope performance and reduced maintenance requirements through effective drainage and erosion control.

  • Reinforced Geovert’s position as a specialist in residential stabilisation solutions.

Project

Solution

  • Installed permanent anchors and mesh systems using rope access and compact drilling rigs designed for steep terrain.

  • Incorporated erosion control matting to support vegetation growth and long-term slope stability.

  • Sequenced drilling and installation to ensure stability and minimise ground disturbance during the works.

Project

Challenges

  • Steep and irregular slope geometry restricted access for conventional plant and materials handling.

  • Requirement to maintain property access and reduce visual impact during and after construction.

  • Environmental sensitivity of the area, requiring erosion and sediment controls to protect surrounding land.

slope stabilisation at hillside residential property nz

Project

Overview

Geovert was engaged to stabilise a steep residential slope at Kokinga Point Road following signs of surface movement and localised instability. The project required careful execution in a confined, steep environment adjacent to existing dwellings. The stabilisation system combined anchored steel mesh and erosion control matting to reinforce the slope face, protect the property, and promote natural regeneration.
