After intense rainfall of more than 8 inches in a short period, multiple rockfall and landslide events occurred near the eastern entrance of Yellowstone National Park, damaging infrastructure and closing roads.
Geovert was contracted by the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) to deliver urgent remediation works at Buffalo Bill Reservoir, Wind River Canyon, and Paint Creek. The scope included heavy mechanical scaling to remove unstable rock and the installation of a new 250ft, 2000kJ rockfall barrier to replace one damaged during the event.
