Geovert were awarded the contract on an alternative method to complete the repair works on New Zealand's longest road bridge. Works were completed in half the expected timeframes which greatly reduced the cost of traffic management on SH1 and the lessened the impact to road users.

The Rakaia Bridge, a mid Canterbury icon, was built in 1939. Concrete repairs and inspections were completed to a significant number of locations along the length of the 1.7km long structure with many above the waterways.
